We had read the book \"I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings,\" by Maya Angelou. In it, Maya imagines that her Mom is a superhero against a racist dentist. Afterwards, I thought about the times when I was bullied for being a Special Ed student and decided to write about a superhero with Autism and then Autisome was born. Autisome is dedicated to my boyfriend Justin Quigley. Not only did I dedicate Autisome to Justin because I love him with all my heart, but also because he showed me that having Autism doesn't make me less of a person, it makes me special instead. The purpose of this story is to teach everyone that people with Autism can still do many things that regular people can do.
