He is an ambassador for the Ministry of Stories and has published four books of poetry: \u003ci\u003eCandy Coated Unicorns and Converse All Stars\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eThirteen Fairy Negro Tales, \u003c\/i\u003e \u003ci\u003eThe Wire-Headed Heathen\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003e#Afterhours\u003c\/i\u003e. His first play, \u003ci\u003eThe 14th Tale\u003c\/i\u003e, was awarded a Fringe First at the Edinburgh International Theatre Festival and his fourth play, \u003ci\u003eBarber Shop Chronicles\u003c\/i\u003e, sold out its run at the National Theatre. He is currently touring \u003ci\u003eAn Evening With An Immigrant\u003c\/i\u003e and working on \u003ci\u003eThe Half God of Rainfall\u003c\/i\u003e - a new play in verse. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eOladipo 'Dipo' Agboluaje \u003c\/b\u003eis a British-Nigerian playwright and academic, born in Hackney and educated in Britain and Nigeria. He studied Theatre Arts at the University of Benin, Nigeria, and later wrote a doctoral thesis at the Open University, UK, on West and South African drama.
