She has a PhD in French Literature and is one of the co-directors of the \u003ci\u003eLanguage Acts and Worldmaking \u003c\/i\u003ebook series. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e Having taught French at several UK Universities, \u003cb\u003eJames Fowler\u003c\/b\u003e is currently Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Modern Languages of King's College, London. His research focuses on French Thought and Literature of the period 1600-1800. Besides writing books and articles pertaining to this area, he has translated several works by Voltaire into English. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eThomas Chaurin\u003c\/b\u003e holds a Masters in French as a Foreign Language from the University of Rennes 2, in Brittany.
