Another goal was to also appeal to both younger and older students, as many tweens and teens are just beginning to learn cursive on their own as this skill has been removed from the curriculum. In our original attempt to reach both older and younger students, a few parents suggested changing some phrases such as \"don't bug me\" and \"pouty lips.\" The updated edition has replaced dozens of phrases (identified by concerned parents), making the book even more positive and suitable for both younger and older girls.
