She was among three women admitted to the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1953. During a career that spanned 40 years, she worked in a variety of settings all over the United States: private practice, neighborhood health centers, VA hospitals, research in paramedical professions, and academic medicine at Wright State University. Her final career was an administrative job in the Medicare program.
