They started with Agriculture, Mathematics, Astronomy, and schooling and then taught us how to build monumental structures. Then they moved on to mining, metallurgy and metal-working, taking us from the Stone Age, through the Bronze Age and into the Iron Age. Thereafter, they had to be more subtle, using telepathy to promote Chemistry, Electrical Power generation and transmission, and Radio Telegraphy..\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eInevitably, they came up against our baser nature, having to contend with the greed of the rich when they tried to stifle developments which would detract from their power or wealth, and to restrict the knowledge to a privileged few.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOur mentors seem to have have bypassed this by encouraging nations to retro-engineer their \"crashed\" atmospheric craft, so making the technology available world-wide again.
