Likening his approach to that of a composer rather than a curator, Marclay chose sculpture and installations based on their sound quality and sonic compatibility. An ambient sound environment resulted, with iconic works by such artists as Harry Bertoia, Yoko Ono and Michelangelo Pistoletto, mixed in with newer pieces.
