She is a recipient of Qu?bec's Forces AVENIR Award for her efforts in promoting liberation sociology. She has published articles on liberation sociology, genocide, and pedagogical strategies.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eClevis R. Headley\u003c\/b\u003e is associate professor of philosophy at Florida Atlantic University where he specializes in Africana philosophy, critical race theory, epistemology, the philosophy of language, and philosophy of mathematics. Headley has co-edited two books, Shifting the Geography of Reason (2007) and Haiti and the Americas (2013) and is currently finishing a book manuscript titled Race, Philosophy, and Being: Working Through the Contestability of Race and Philosophy, which is under contract with Lexington Books.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eJoe R. Feagin\u003c\/b\u003e is a U.S. sociologist and social theorist who has conducted extensive research on racial and gender issues, especially in regard to the United States. He is currently the Ella C. McFadden Distinguished Professor at Texas A\u0026amp;M University. Feagin has done much research work on race and ethnic relations and has served as the scholar in residence at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. He has written over 60 books, one of which (Ghetto Revolts) was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
