Kafka's Monkey was performed to critical acclaim at the Young Vic Theatre in Spring 2009, and will return from the 19th May to 11th June 2011.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eAuthor Biography\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eColin Teevan is a celebrated playwright, translator and writer for screen. His work has been produced by many leading theatres including the National, the Young Vic, the Soho Theatre and the National Theatre of Scotland. Colin's 2009 play, \u003ci\u003eThe Lion of Kabul\u003c\/i\u003e, was produced as part of the Tricycle Theatre's \u003ci\u003eThe Great Game\u003c\/i\u003e festival on Afghanistan and was hailed as 'an inspirational highlight of the year' by \u003ci\u003eThe Independent\u003c\/i\u003e. In the same year, he adapted Franz Kafka's \u003ci\u003eReport to An Academy\u003c\/i\u003e for the Young Vic, where it appeared as the critically-acclaimed play, \u003ci\u003eKafka's Monkey\u003c\/i\u003e, as well as reviving the National Theatre of Scotland's production of his new version of \u003ci\u003ePeer Gynt\u003c\/i\u003e at The Barbican and, subsequently, on tour. In 2010 \u003ci\u003eKafka's Monkey\u003c\/i\u003e was revived by The Young Vic at the Bouffes du Nord Theatre in Paris and \u003ci\u003eThe Great Game\u003c\/i\u003e was revived by the Tricycle for an American tour.
