She received a PhD in poetry at Korea University and published seven volumes of poetry. Choi was co-translator of an English selection of her poetry, \u003ci\u003eInstances\u003c\/i\u003e, with Brenda Hillman and Wayne de Fremery. \u003ci\u003eLightmesh\u003c\/i\u003e was her last work before her death from a rare blood disorder.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eSue Hyon Bae\u003c\/b\u003e is the translator of \u003ci\u003eRadio Days\u003c\/i\u003e by Ha Jaeyoun, also published by Black Ocean, co-translator of \u003ci\u003eA Drink of Red Mirror\u003c\/i\u003e by Kim Hyesoon, and the author of a poetry collection, \u003ci\u003eTruce Country\u003c\/i\u003e. She lives in Tempe, Arizona.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eMattho Mandersloot\u003c\/b\u003e is a literary translator. His translations from Korean include works by Nobel laureate Han Kang, Cho Nam-joo, and Sang Young Park.
