He is the author of numerous novels, short stories, poems, and non-fiction books, including \u003ci\u003eTraveler of the Century\u003c\/i\u003e (FSG), which won the Alfaguara Prize and the National Critics Prize, and \u003ci\u003eThe Things We Don't Do\u003c\/i\u003e (Open Letter Books), which received the Firecracker Award for Fiction. His poetry was awarded the Federico Garc僘 Lorca and Hiperi Prizes, among others.
