His notable novels include Yeh Jo Dilli Hai, Katha Circus, and Papa Ke Jaane Ke Baad, while Ek Tha Thunthuniya earned him the first Bal Sahitya Award by Sahitya Akademi. His popular story collections include Uncle Ko Wish Nahi Karoge and 21 Shreshtha Kahaniyan. His poetry books like Ek Aur Prarthana and Chhutata Hua Ghar are also well-regarded.\u003cbr\u003eHe authored the first comprehensive history of Hindi children's literature-Hindi Bal Sahitya Ka Itihas-and other critical works.
