Purrett was born in Michigan in February of 1977. As a child, Christopher enjoyed drawing and playing sports. Although he spent time reading and writing as a child, he lost interest in the books and writing styles he was requested to read during school. In college, Christopher spent much of his time listening to music and eventually decided upon a degree in that field. During his time in college at Central Michigan University he also met his wife, Misty. He graduated in December of 1999 with a Bachelors degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. Shortly after graduating, he and his wife settled into the Metro-Detroit area. In 2001 OverdriveRadio, an Internet based radio station was launched. It remained on the air for nearly a decade playing rock music from local Michigan bands. During that time, Christopher began writing. It started with small comedy skits that he and his friends performed on \"The Mike Christopher Show\", a live-recorded Internet show that aired on OverdriveRadio. That seemed to spark his interest in writing, along with reading to his two young daughters, when OverdriveRadio began to fade, Christopher shifted his focus to developing stories. In 2004, the beginnings of the World of Angora started to formulate...the formulation continues to this day in early 2014 during which three complete novels have been writing and subsequently trashed. In the meantime, Christopher began telling stories to his oldest daughter, Lea, when putting her to bed each night. Those stories started small, but would eventually become the Land of Mistasia (find out more here). Christopher's love for science fiction, fantasy, artwork and storytelling has brought out a passion for writing novels, with comics and animation in the somewhat near future.
