Rathburn's first full-length collection, \u003ci\u003eThe Shifting Line\u003c\/i\u003e, won the 2005 Richard Wilbur Award, and her second collection, \u003ci\u003eA Raft of Grief\u003c\/i\u003e, was published by Autumn House Press in 2013. After spending six years living and teaching in the North Georgia mountains with her husband, the poet James Davis May, and their daughter, she moved to Macon in 2019. She is currently an associate professor of English-Creative Writing at Mercer University.
