Its first printed version came with William Caxton's introduction of the printing press in the late 1470s. Chaucer wrote the Treatise on the Astrolabe for his eleven-year-old son in 1391. According to the inscription on his tomb, Chaucer died on October 25, 1400, and was buried in Westminster Abbey in London.
