The essays pose questions concerning why a consumer might choose a particular pot, why it might be part of an assemblage, or why a particular set of pots might have moved in a particular direction. Ping Professor of Humanities and Distinguished Professor of Classics at Ohio University. He is the author of numerous books and articles on Greek iconography including Art and Myth in Ancient Greece (Thames \u0026amp; Hudson, World of Art). Elizabeth Langridge-Noti is an associate professor of archaeology and classical studies at DEREE, The American College of Greece in Athens, Greece and co-founder of the Pottery in Context Network. She has published on Greek pottery from the Archaic through the Hellenistic periods. Mark D. Stansbury-O'Donnell is professor of art history at the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota).
