In his youth he spent much of his time in the forest near his home with his friends and visiting his family, many of whom were farmers of one type or another. He attended CPCC in Charlotte and Gardner-Webb University. He graduated from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army and even while in a warzone he found a love for foreign lands and the people who lived there. Dannie has lived in Riverdale and Newnan, GA while working for a major airline; Houston, TX; Marshall Islands; Budapest, Hungary and presently lives in Thailand and Houston, TX with his wife. He lived and worked in the Marshall Islands for two years where he found a love for sailing, the sea and wild places. He has traveled to many places around the world learning and letting his daydreams come to life in his writing. Dannie has written for many years for his own pleasure but has finally decided to publish some of his works. His first published novel is a tale he wrote for his young grandson; something that could be read to him and kept for him to read on his own when he is older. All those who read Dannie's tale were thrilled with it and he decided to make Tyler Hill's Decision his debut novel. Dannie is an avid sailor, outdoorsman, reader and writer. He does much of his writing in Thailand where his wife and he have a small farm and they spend much of their time traveling around the 'Land of Smiles'. On their small farm they grow corn, mangos, bananas, tapioca, orchids and many other varieties of plants and fish. Their children visit often and Dannie and his wife travel to the U.S. to visit family and friends. Dannie is an avid reader but his favorites are fantasies, allegories, and tales of the old west. In his reading he began to wonder at how poorly many different kinds of people were treated by writers and society. He decided to write tales that he would like to read. He writes for the readers, not to show his lexicographic and neologistic abilities. He knows that the reader is the most important part of the writing and publishing industry and they deserve quality in their selections. Dannie is proud to tell everyone he meets that he is a Christian, American and part Native American (Cherokee).

Number of Pages: 140

Dimensions: 0.33 x 8.5 x 5.51 IN

Publication Date: May 23, 2010
