No. Once BooksCloud is installed and your books are published to your Shopify store, the entire fulfillment process runs automatically. You do not forward orders, you do not contact a supplier, you do not generate shipping labels, and you do not send tracking numbers. All of that happens without any action from you.
The Full Automatic Order Flow
Here is exactly what happens from the moment a customer clicks "Buy Now":
Step 1: Order Received
Your customer completes checkout on your Shopify store. BooksCloud receives the order automatically through Shopify's fulfillment API.
Step 2: 24-Hour Hold
The order enters a 24-hour automatic hold period. This window exists so that address corrections or cancellations can be made if needed. During this time, the order has not yet gone to fulfillment.
Step 3: Fulfillment Begins
After 24 hours, the order is submitted to BooksCloud's fulfillment system. Your payment method on file is charged for the book cost plus the flat $7 shipping fee. BooksCloud picks and packs the order.
Step 4: Shipment
BooksCloud ships the order via USPS. A tracking number is generated automatically.
Step 5: Tracking Sent Back to Shopify
The tracking number is pushed back to your Shopify order automatically. Shopify then triggers its standard customer notification, so your customer receives their tracking information without you sending anything manually.
What You Actually See in Shopify
You can monitor orders in your Shopify admin dashboard — you will see the order status update from "Unfulfilled" to "Fulfilled" as BooksCloud processes it. The tracking number will appear in the order details once the shipment is made.
You do not need to do anything to make this happen. The updates come to you.
One Scenario Where Action May Be Needed
If a customer contacts you within the 24-hour hold window to change their address or cancel the order, you can act on that request before the order enters fulfillment. After the 24-hour window closes and fulfillment has begun, changes are no longer possible.
