What You See in the Search Results

When you search for a book in BooksCloud — whether by title, author, keyword, or ISBN — you'll see a listing card that includes:

  • Title and subtitle — The full title as it will appear on your product page.
  • Author name(s) — One or more authors associated with the edition.
  • ISBN — The unique identifier for that specific edition and format.
  • Your cost price — What BooksCloud will charge you (book cost) when a customer orders this title. This helps you confirm your margin before adding it.
  • Synopsis/description — The publisher's book description, which will become your product description on Shopify.
  • Genre tags — The categories this book is tagged under, which are used for Shopify collections and SEO.

Why This Matters

Seeing cost price before adding a book lets you make a quick margin check. If BooksCloud charges $14 for a book and your Price Adjuster is set to 1.25x, your store price will be $17.50. Knowing this in advance helps you decide whether the book fits your pricing strategy.
