A Cabin Christmas - Paperback

by Glynnis Hood (Author), Ardis Cheng (Illustrator)

A Canadian Christmas picture book about a young girl whose friendship with moose, beaver, squirrel and other woodland neighbours is returned when her family needs help.

Each morning, a girl leaves her family's cabin in the woods to greet the animals around the forest and wetland. As winter settles in and Christmas approaches, the moose, beaver, squirrel, bear and other neighbours prepare for the season alongside her.

When an unexpected challenge disrupts the family's Christmas, the animals come together to return the care and attention the girl has shown them. The story brings community, friendship and reciprocity into a Canadian wilderness setting filled with familiar forest animals.

For children ages 4 to 8, A Cabin Christmas works naturally as a family read-aloud and for libraries, children's Christmas displays, seasonal collections and Canadian gift markets.
