Pierre Paquet is a Swiss comic book publisher and author who founded Éditions Paquet in 1996, driven by a passion for visual storytelling and a desire to support underrepresented artists. Starting from a modest gallery in Geneva, he built one of Europe's most respected independent publishing houses, known for titles like The Grand Duke and Beyond the Clouds. His catalog spans aviation, automotive, historical fiction, and more, with standout collections like Cockpit, Calandre, and Cabestan.
As an author, Paquet has penned two autobiographical graphic novels: A Glance Backward, a poignant reflection on childhood and loss, and POS, a raw, humorous memoir about the trials of launching a publishing company while navigating personal upheaval--including freeloading friends, financial stress, and the loyal companionship of his dog, Sonny. He's often described as "the smallest of the great publishers," a title he wears with pride, and continues to champion bold, diverse voices in the comics world. Tony Sandoval is a Mexican comic book artist and writer known for his dreamlike, surreal storytelling and distinctive, atmospheric artwork. Born in 1973 in northwestern Mexico, Sandoval initially worked in graphic design before shifting his focus to comics, where he quickly gained recognition for his unique blend of fantasy, horror, and emotional depth. His works, including DoomBoy, Watersnakes, and A Glance Backward, have been published internationally, earning him multiple Eisner Award nominations.
