His life begins to change when the local director of the healthcare enforcement agency engages him in a plan to trap an underground doctor. The interview with the underground doctor introduces him to a world and set of problems he never knew existed. With the interview over Justin thinks his involvement with underground medicine and the Director is over, but an unexpected illness and his wife's pregnancy sucks him into the world of underground medicine and the competition between the underground doctor and the Director. The ultimate sacrifice saves his child, but threatens his marriage.

Dr. Hensle practices ophthalmology in Virginia. He has been president of his county and state medical societies, his hospital medical staff, and his state specialty society.
