by Ciscoe Morris (Author)

"Can I grow an apple tree on the deck of my condo? Is it really safe to buy annuals in March? Tell me how to grow carnivorous plants! How can we invite bumblebees into our garden, and how can we get the yellow jackets to leave?" These are just a few of the 400 oft-asked and puzzling gardening questions in this book. Ciscoe Morris' signature exclamation "Ooh-la-la!" (delivered with a thick Wisconsin accent) may be completely disarming, but his gardening chops are second-to-none. Master gardener, certified arborist, teacher at the University of Washington's Center for Urban Horticulture, Ciscoe -- a familiar and well-loved personality in gardening media throughout the Pacific Northwest -- addresses the full range of gardening issues from ornamental gardening to vegetables, fruit trees, shrubs, lawns, containers, weeds, and more -- all in his inimitable humorous and informed style.
