Michael Mills brings a wealth of civic knowledge to this book, including a recent run for Georgia Secrertary of State, founding a non-profit that helped increase Atlanta voter participation by more than seven percent in 2002 and serving as a corporate executive at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. where he helped drive associate community engagement and charitable giving. Mills clearly outlines our civic history, rationale for its decline and offers insight into what inspires people to action.
