Discussion covers super elevation, spiral easements, vertical curves, plan and profile measuring, plan and profile designing, drainage, and many other topics related to the design and maintenance of a track. Many tables for super elevation and spirals are provided from 3.5" gauge to 42" gauge. I have used the same basic principles on 56.5" gauge railroads and on down to N-scale model layouts.
