The amount of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is steadily and massively growing in all areas of transport, with autonomous vehicles and UAVs among the most advanced examples. This also opens up options for malevolent interference, e.g. remote-controlling vehicles for criminal or terrorist purposes.
