Five Generations of Family Quotations is a presentation of quotations, sayings, or pocket pieces recited by family members of and including the two authors, who represent five generations. Now as adults, the authors, mother and son, who represents the third and forth generations of the family that is the focus of this book, fondly reflects on the many sayings that were made by their ancestors. These authors share a common appreciation for the instructions they received from their parents, grand and great grand parents respectfully. In fact, the authors, individually and collectively recognize the positive influence and impact these sayings have had on their lives. They found that the same instructions could benefit their children. The purpose of this book of family quotations is to serve as a model document that demonstrates the author's desire and capacity to keep alive their ancestors by remembering their ancestor's words of wisdom and instruction. These quotations have had a positive impact on the authors lives. This book recognizes the love that was conveyed through the instructions that were designed to help the family members to become responsible citizens. From a spiritual point, this book is intended to serve as a tool to encourage the reader to likewise consider embracing the sayings or quotations of family members and loved ones as a method to keep them alive.
