Freud is dying. Memories, ideas, scenes from his long life are passing through his mind. The physical pain is unbearable. To tell his story, the author employs a great variety of resources: He alternates internal monologue with letters to Martha or Princess Marie Bonaparte; there are "reminiscences" of the family's employee, Paula Fichtl, "interviews" given to an English journalist, dialogues with Dr. Schur and with Anna Freud-affectionately called Annerl-and so forth. Author Biography

Lúcio Roberto Marzagão has a Master's Degree in Philosophy from UFMG (Minas Gerais, Brazil), where he has been an Associate Professor for 30 years. Presently he is a teacher at the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program in Psychoanalytic Theory at UFMG. He also published Psicanálise e Pragmática, in 1966, and with KBR the 2nd edition of Psicanálise e Literatura, in 2012. Email: luciomarzagao@gmail.com
