Author Biography

I was born in 1973. I have always had a passion for writing. I was introduced to poetry by my kindergarten teacher and have been in love with the written word ever since. I have written for myself and school but never had the confidence in myself to put my work out there. My friends (my adopted family) kept encouraging me to submit my work but I was afraid it just wasn't good enough. I thought if I don't try, I can't fail. Wrong. By not trying I was cheating myself. It took me a long time and a lot of pushing from my family to finally take that leap of faith. But I know it is one thing I will never regret doing.
