God's Messenger - God's Victim is a Bildungsroman Stockholm Syndrome Novel in which three young people come under the control of a homeless woman whose self-serving gift of gab makes her a clever con artist. One of the youths is a young girl that seems to be autistic, but may be more capable than she seems. A second is a teen-aged boy who knows nothing about the world except what he was taught by his Bible-quoting prostitute mother before she overdosed. The third is a thirteen-year-old girl who also knows little about the world; she is kidnapped from a Southern Utah polygamist community. The three youths cling together as they learn about life, belief, and sexuality. The tragic ending is surprising and shocking, but logical given the situation.

Dr. Murdock is an emeritus professor at California State University, Long Beach. He is the author of six novels and many textbooks. He is executive editor at FictionWeek Literary Review.
