Somewhere along the way I realized no one was coming to save me. So I started writing. Not to be strong but to survive.
I carried me here is my way of holding everything I could not say out loud. The grief. The confusion. The strength I did not know I had. These poems are not written from a place of knowing. It's all still a process.
