Author Biography
Uxue Alberdi Estibaritz (Elgoibar, 1984) is a writer and a bertsolari (improvisational poet.) She is the author of 2 collections of short stories; Aulki bat elurretan (A chair on the Snow) Elkar, 2007; Euli-giro (Sense of Chagrin) Susa, 2013, three novels Aulki Jokoa (Musical Chairs) Elkar, 2009; Jenisjoplin, Susa 2017 which was selected as the winner of the Academia Saria 111 award (Readers' Choice) and Dendaostekoak (Backroom Stories) Susa, 2020. Her essay Kontrako eztarritik (Through the Wrong Pipe) Susa, 2019, received the 2020 Essay Euskadi Award. Among many published works for children, her story Besarkada (The Embrace) received the 2016 Children and Young Adult Euskadi Award Literature.
