Author Biography

Roger Jewell is a Retired Forest Ranger who served 32 years in the US Forest Service. He has writen three other books. The first, Ancient Mines of kitchi-Gummi, (pub 2000) sold over 4000 copies. The second, Riding The Wild Orb, 2001, is about extream weather. The third is the first book in a trilogy, The Sawmill River Valley War. this is about the soldiers in the Revolutionary War. Jewell now lives with his wife in Gettysburg, Pa.
