The undivided kingdom of Israel had three kings: Saul, David, Solomon. Saul was a bad King. David was a good King. Solomon started out as a good King and was led into idolatry by his 700 wives and 300 concubines. He became a bad King. God divided the kingdom because of Solomon's idolatry. The northern kingdom was called Israel. The southern kingdom was called Judah. The northern kingdom of Israel had 19 kings, and the southern kingdom of Judah had 20 Kings (one was a "ruling" evil Queen, Athaliah).We can learn much from the Judges and Kings of ancient Israel.
