Kobukan Goju Ryu Kyohan - Paperback

by Filip Konjokrad (Author)

The Kobukan dojo was founded by Filip Konjokrad and is firmly rooted in the teachings and traditions of Kanki Izumikawa, who was one of the most senior students of Seiko Higa. This book explores the origins and history of Goju Ryu in detail, followed by the life of Kanki Izumikawa. The bulk of the text contains a comprehensive technical section, covering the Kihon, Kata and other teachings as passed down by Izumikawa. There is also an analysis of the Bubishi and a presentation of many other concepts and principles from this lineage. The author trained with numerous senior Izumikawa lineage instructors in Japan and gained a deep and detailed knowledge of Izumikawa's Goju Ryu. Many details are presented here for the first time in English and Kobukan Goju Ryu Kyohan promises to be, perhaps one of the most important books on Goju Ryu.
