Author Biography

Édouard Vuillard (1868-1940) was one of the most individual of the post impressionist artists working in Paris at the turn of the 20th century. Originally part of the group known as the Nabis, he developed a sensual but very delicate technique, (often reminiscent of the textiles that his family was involved with), that could be used to equal effect on any scale from miniature to monumental.
