Author Biography

Walter J. Scott, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a thoracic surgeon in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is chief of the Division of Thoracic and Esophageal Surgery at Abington Jefferson Hospital and a member of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Scott specializes in the treatment of cancers involving the chest, with a special emphasis on the treatment of lung cancer. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor in Philadelphia and as one of America's Top Doctors for Cancer Treatment (thoracic surgery) by Castle Connolly.
