Author Biography

María Menéndez-Ponte began writing in the 1990s, after having published numerous articles in Galician newspapers, lived in New York for five years, and earned a degree in Hispanic Philology. Although she writes novels as well as short stories and tales, her work is primarily aimed at children and young adults. After achieving many successes, her career was recognized with the Cervantes Chico Award and the Gold Book Award for the novel Nunca seré tu héroe.
