A history of the United States Medal of Honor with selected recipients from all of the major conflicts. Citations as well as stories are told of individuals before and after receiving the award. The Nation's second highest awards are also included.

Author Biography

Gene Hays is an author, historian and freelance writer. He has written several articles in local newspapers and magazines as well as "Lifezette" and the "Medal of Honor Magazine." Gene was awarded a research grant in 2014 from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to write a history of "The Marine Corps Combined Action Program in the Vietnam War," as part of the 50th Commemorative Series on the Vietnam War. He has authored six books, two of which are about the Vietnam War. He resides in Oxford, MS and can be reached by EMail: rghays47@gmail.com.
