Author Biography
Máire Zepf is the first ever Children's Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland. She has published several books for children, including Irish language book Míp agus Blípín, (Meep and Bleepeen) illustrated by Paddy Donnelly (Futa Fata, 2022) and Rita
Wants a Genie (Graffeg, 2022) illustrated by Mr Ando. Her picture book Ná Gabh ar Scoil! (Don't Go to School!) with illustrator Tarsila Krüse (Futa Fata, 2015) won a
Children's Book Award from the Literacy Assocation of Ireland. It was IBBY honours-listed and also nominated for CBI Book of the Year.
