Zachariah is her good friend from childhood, and as both of them have lost their spouses, a growing attraction between them makes her wonder if they can keep their relationship professional as they've always agreed to do.

An abbey might seem like a place of solace and sanctuary, but they soon discover that is far from the truth. A sheriff, a lady, her bloodhound, and a little entourage that the sheriff does not approve of, are soon headed to Maltby le Marsh where secrets, horror, and a very active ghost await them.
