Author Biography

Nina Flaitz is a graphic designer and material researcher based in Stuttgart and Lausanne. She specializes in visual communication and concept-based art direction. With a focus on a holistic concept development the studio conceives visual identities applied in both digital and printed matter for cultural institutions, businesses and individuals, often in close collaboration with fellow designers, developers and photographers. Nina Flaitz is the founder of the research platform Mycelium Resources, through which she applies her expertise as a designer to projects of a sustainable ambition and conducts research into resource-saving material development. Mycelium Resources aims to raise awareness about the potential of mycelium-based materials, promote their advancement, and enhance the visibility and connectivity of experts in mycelium research and application.
