Author Biography

Effie has studied embroidery and needle lace in the UK, Italy, Greece, China and India. She has an Associate Diploma of Fine Art and Master of Visual & Performing Arts in which she studied the origin and evolution of needle lace. is the author of numerous successful books on embroidery and the textile arts. She travels and lectures extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand and has a passionate interest the art, pattern and texture of embroidery, its history, its makers and techniques.
