Author Biography

Linda C. Cooper was unanimously elected as the twenty-third president of National WMU(R) in June 2015. A native of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, Linda earned a degree in dental hygiene from Western Kentucky University and has ministered to others through a thirty-seven-year career as a dental hygienist in the same dental office in Smiths Grove, Kentucky. Linda and her husband Jim have been married for thirty-seven years and have an adult son and daughter and two grandsons.
Sandy Wisdom-Martin serves as executive director-treasurer for National WMU(R) in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to this post, she led WMU of Texas as executive director. She also served as women's missions and ministries director for the Illinois Baptist State Association and served in the areas of WMU and church and community ministries with Arkansas Baptist State Convention. Born and raised in Southern Illinois, Sandy is married to Frank Martin, and they have one daughter.
