Author Biography
The author / illustrator of this book, "Out of Africa," is a person that has a deep-seated love for nature. Growing up in a country setting gave the author great opportunity to be exposed to animals of all kinds. This love for nature is evident within the pages of this book. When first deciding to do a book like this, the author didn't just want to do a basic coloring book; she wanted to do something that would help to educate both children and adults about the different animals one would see in the country of South Africa. This book may be the first exposure that some children may have to these types of animals, and it is the hope of the author that it will instill a drive to look further into the rolls that these animals have in this world. Each picture within this book is hand drawn, and hours of research went into every fact sheet that is included. If this book is well received by the general public, there very well may be more to follow. The author of this book has been a nature photographer for years and also has a series of inspirational books available for purchase called, "Psalms of Nature." Within this series, the author has put different photographs that she has herself taken and then has applied to a different point of scripture from within the book of Psalm in the Bible. This is a four book series, but each book is also made to stand alone without the others. The author is married and continues to live in the country, surrounded by trees and the nature that she loves....
