Hugo is a sweet little hedgehog, but sometimes things get to be too much for him. When there are lots of loud noises and people, Hugo curls up into a spiky ball, unintentionally stinging his classmates. He feels sad and very sorry, especially when his friends nickname him, Prickly Hugo, and refuse to play with him. What he doesn't realize is that his kindly, teacher, Mr. Owl, knows just how to help.
