Penny's New Voice - Paperback

Penny is an autistic penguin. She is excited to start school. Penny has an AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) device for communication. The other penguin chicks are interested in her device, and the teacher finds it distracting. The teacher tells Penny to put it away. This leaves Penny feeling isolated with no way to communicate. Penny's parents help the teacher and the chicks understand the importance of Penny's device.
