Kasia Karpińska has a Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland) and a Master of Science degree in Sociology and Social Research from Utrecht University. The present study was conducted at the Utrecht University School of Economics (USE, Utrecht) and at the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI, the Hague).
