by Clinton H. Simpson (Author)

They said, "touch the headstone." "Say the words." They said nothing would happen.

They were wrong.

For more than one hundred and forty years, the people of Shannon County, Missouri have kept the legend of Harlan Hayes buried. But a group of friends goes looking for the legend deep in the woods surrounding Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Now he's awake.

Harlan Hayes was murdered in the Ozark hills in 1883, and he's been playing the same game of hide and seek ever since.

He doesn't run.

He doesn't have to.

He just counts.

There's only one way to win. Nine friends enter the cemetery. How many will leave?

Ready or not... here he comes.
