Elizabeth Watson writes historical romance and lives in West Virginia with her four sons, husband, yellow lab, bobtail cat, and parakeet. She has a Master of Letters in Archaeology from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin. She was recently featured in The Journal for her new release, Prince of Lions. In mid 2016, Prince of Lions was a top 100 Kindle book download in it's Scottish and Medieval historical romance categories. In 2014, she was a Second Prize Quarter-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest for her unpublished manuscript entitled Two Brides for Ewan de Buchan, and before that she received an Honorable Mention in the 2013 Texas Observer Short Story Competition for her story entitled Freedom in the Raw. She began writing by publishing two articles in the academic journals Time and Mind: The Journal of Archaeology, Consciousness, and Culture, and The Journal of Big Bend Studies regarding her graduate school dissertation and an undergraduate research fellowship award project. Elizabeth is a member of RWA (Romance Writers of America) as well as the Maryland Romance Writers. Her newest release is coming out February 14th, 2017, and later 2017, her first title with Entangled Publishing will be releasing.
